I know I can comfortably sit through 3 hours, max 4. My personal opinion is, I prefer to have two shorter sessions without anesthesia than a longer one with it. It still hurts a lot, it just becomes unrelated to the gun touching your skin, it's permanent pain, just easier to take than the pain you get after several hours of being tattooed. New sprays burn a lot when applied, so don't think they'll make the process completely painless they more of replace one kind of pain with another. Older stuff had to be applied on clear skin, modern things on the contrary have to be applied when the session is already underway
